If you're not able to offload some of that onto other people, you're just not, you're not going to make it.

00:04 - Porter (Host)
The difference between the winners and the losers in this industry. I want to say mostly.

00:11 - Jacob Gramenga (Host)
This is the Circles Off channel recording from Las Vegas, nevada, at the Circa Resort and Casino. We've gotten in touch with a lot of different professional sports players who want to give you one piece of advice, each that's going to make you a better sports better. Nobody would know better than the pros. So make sure you stick around until the end of the video.

00:34 - Judah Fortgang (Host)
I'm like obsessive over the ideas that I have and, like analyzing, I'm always thinking about like what is someone who disagrees with me thinking? And that's like really, really forced me to sharpen my ideas, to sharpen general frameworks of how I think about things and allow me to kind of think out of the box, which is like I've really thought this through.

01:01 - Rufus Peabody (Host)
I'm addicted to looking at odd screens, unfortunately, hawking the screen always. I really like sports and reading on injury news and all those sorts of things is very helpful.

01:11 - Isaac Rose-Berman (Host)
I think, being social and friendly and knowing a lot of people, both on the actual betting side, in terms of you know if I think a bet is good, being able to ask a bunch of people with you know different perspectives, to know that, but then also to be able to manage the ups and downs of betting. If you do this by yourself and you gamble a lot, it is incredibly difficult and stressful. And if you're not able to offload some of that onto other people or, you know, share sweats with other people, you're just not, you're not going to make it. So, both from the actual betting side and from the mental health side, just you know knowing a lot of people, being social and talking with them all the time so maybe not talking about the sports betting, but more the the business of sports betting, I would say my like.

01:56 - Porter (Host)
The one thing I bring that is unique is I try to operate in what I would say is a business setting, when most individuals who take this seriously think about it more so from the mindset of a hobbyist, where this is not a get rich quick thing. This is not some kind of scheme. You sit down, you grind and you work hard and I think a lot of people you know sometimes they're like let me just bet bigger so I can get farther. And I think a lot of people you know sometimes they're like let me just bet bigger so I can get farther, you know farther along. But in reality a ton of this is just working hard and, of course, working smart.

02:31
But a ton of this is grind and grit. This isn't just like you wake up, you click a few buttons, you know you win, like a Super Bowl bet. You know it's work, it's work, a Super Bowl bet. You know what sides, you know it's work, it's work. And the difference between the winners and the losers in this industry, I want to say mostly it's how they operate, what they're doing and the people with the hobby mindset versus the people with the business mindset, which I think is very few. That's like the key differentiator.

03:03 - Isaac Rose-Berman (Host)
Looking into stupid things all the time and being genuinely, uh you know interested in spending time on random, uh rabbit holes one habit that makes me better sports better, I think, is the fact that I tend to be well.

03:19 - Rufus Peabody (Host)
Losing motivates me. I think I I work harder when I lose and and I stay, stay process oriented. I mean, I think the big, I think, honestly, the biggest thing that that makes me successful is is well, actually, I think there's, I don't know if it's the biggest thing. Now my answer is turning into multiple things, but okay, being process oriented, um, is huge. And and being creative in how you look at things, understanding probability. But to get back to the but, I do think that treating losing is an investment in future winning. I firmly believe that because, like every time I've had sort of extended bad runs or some bad breaks that have, like, they've motivated me to work harder and to figure out why, and they've ended up making me money in the long run.

04:05 - Corbie Craig (Host)
I would say the ability to block out noise, whether that's what injuries matter, what injuries don't matter, what injuries are already priced in the line.

04:14
I do a lot, as you can tell. I do a lot of injury stuff, but I would say, like the ability to not listen to anyone else's opinion other than your own, and I think you'll see that in like a lot of business. It's like on undoubtable belief in yourself and thinking that you are correct. It can either a lead you to zero, which is obviously not good, or, b justify what you're doing and think that what other people are doing are wrong, because, like it's a two way market, like if somebody has to be wrong on the other side and that's what everyone's, like, oh, we should beat the books together, but inevitably I am beating somebody out. So I think my stuff is better than scott sitting here, jacob sitting here, and so I'm going to believe myself more than everybody else and does that, and I think that comes off as like a cockiness, but at the end of the day it's not. It's a belief in your own word.

05:02 - Jack Andrews (Host)
Try to find a reason not to bet something. Try to find a reason to think of a reason why you're wrong and the market is right. And that level of critical thinking has always allowed me to take a step back and pause before making a bet and I'll add another one in here, Always wanting to know what comes next. I always want to know what's the next big thing, How's? Because if you have a first mover advantage is huge in sports betting. If you're the first one to be able to say, oh, look, that's price wrong. Oh, here I can take advantage of this. Or oh, I can work on that, you get ahead of the sports books, you get ahead of the betting public. That's going to and work on that. You get ahead of the sports books, you get ahead of the betting public. That's going to dry out that edge. And that's worked very well for me to always think of what comes next, to get the first mover advantage.

05:52 - China (Host)
Relentless aggression. Relentless, just relentless. Following up on huge edges and being willing to go the extra mile when I know I have a massive edge to get the most amount of money in when I know I have it, just when I have humongous edges.
